dove agire e come operare al meglio. \u00c8 accaduto a Firenze, presso l\u2019ospedale San Giovanni di Dio, grazie a un <strong>modello di milza stampato in 3D da Bio3DModel, <\/strong>divisione di stampa 3D medicale di SolidWorld GROUP,<strong> con <a href=\"https:\/\/bio3dprinting.it\/stampanti-3d-stratasys\/\">stampanti 3D Stratasys<\/a><\/strong>, integrato all\u2019approccio laparoscopico minimamente invasivo. L\u2019operazione salva-vita ha coinvolto una giovane donna colpita da una patologia rara: un <strong>aneurisma gigante dell\u2019arteria splenica<\/strong>, cio\u00e8 una dilatazione anomala dell&#8217;arteria che irrora la milza. Un\u2019anomalia che pu\u00f2 essere anche letale e che per essere curata potrebbe richiedere in casi estremi l&#8217;asportazione della milza stessa, organo emopoietico con un\u2019importante funzione immunitaria. La paziente del nosocomio fiorentino, invece, ha beneficiato a tal punto della ridotta invasivit\u00e0 dell\u2019intervento da essere tornata a casa gi\u00e0 nel secondo giorno postoperatorio. E naturalmente con la milza al suo posto.<\/p><p>\u201c<em>Il modello 3D studiato insieme agli ingegneri di Bio3DModel<\/em>\u201d, racconta <strong>il chirurgo Vascolare Emiliano Chisci<\/strong>, \u201c<em>ha aiuto nella valutazione di un accurato planning\u00a0 dell&#8217;intervento. Infatti, grazie alla riproduzione dell\u2019organo da operare, \u00e8 stato possibile valutare ancora pi\u00f9 precisamente dove agire per andare ad escludere l\u2019aneurisma mantenendo la milza in sede. Poter \u201cmaneggiare\u201d il modello in scala 1:1 ha fatto comprendere come accedere e dove agire. Siamo partiti con la consapevolezza di poter salvare la milza ed allo stesso tempo escludere in sicurezza l&#8217;aneurisma<\/em>\u201d. Un vantaggio non indifferente quando in mano si ha anche la vita di una persona.<\/p><p>Partendo da una TAC della paziente, il team di ingegneria biomedicale di Bio3DModel, qui composto da <strong>Federica Giovannini e<\/strong> <strong>Paulina Socha, coordinato dall\u2019Ingegner Giovan Battista Semplici, <\/strong>hanno via via perfezionato tutti i dettagli seguendo le indicazioni dei medici. Il modello 3D a <strong>grandezza naturale<\/strong> che hanno cos\u00ec realizzato in stampa 3D ha avuto pi\u00f9 <em>release<\/em>: una \u00e8 stata impiegata per fare il training pre-operatorio, un\u2019altra \u00e8 stata utilizzata come guida durante l\u2019intervento. Il tutto in tempi estremamente rapidi: dopo un paio di videochiamate con i chirurghi, i tecnici hanno sfruttato le giornate di pre-ospedalizzazione della paziente per finalizzare il modello 3D giusto, con le strutture anatomiche della milza ma anche i vasi splenici e il pancreas.<\/p><p>Naturalmente, il merito dell\u2019intervento va soprattutto ai medici che hanno praticato la cosiddetta \u201cesclusione\u201d dell\u2019aneurisma mediante legatura, preservando la milza. Del team guidato dal<strong> direttore del dipartimento chirurgico Stefano Michelagnoli<\/strong> ha fatto parte, oltre al dottor Chisci, anche il <strong>primario della Chirurgia Generale, Alessandro Anastasi<\/strong> che ha condotto l&#8217;intervento e vanta una grande expertise video-laparoscopica. Per\u00f2, la <strong>drastica riduzione dei tempi di recupero della paziente<\/strong> \u00e8 certamente dovuta anche alla pianificazione resa possibile dal modello in stampa 3D. \u201c<em>La paziente si \u00e8 sentita inoltre tranquillizzata dal modello 3D che ha potuto vedere prima dell\u2019intervento<\/em>\u201d, dichiara il Dottor Chisci.<\/p><p>Proprio la paziente, nel pieno rispetto della sua privacy, ha accolto l\u2019invito a raccontare questa esperienza. \u201c<em>Mi era stata naturalmente mostrata la TAC, ma <strong>solo quando ho visto il modello 3D ho realizzato che bisognava proprio intervenire<\/strong>. Il modello ha consentito di avere una chiarezza assoluta, oltre il semplice consenso informato, perch\u00e9 ha consentito ai medici di comunicare meglio e a me di comprendere a pieno la situazione\u201d. Medici che &#8211; la signora ci tiene a sottolinearlo &#8211; hanno dimostrato una grande e preziosa collaborazione reciproca e un\u2019accuratezza davvero speciale: \u201cIl servizio pubblico si \u00e8 rivelato top: ho incontrato medici interessati al bene del paziente e con il gusto di trovare una soluzione creativa andando oltre il protocollo e la strada segnata. Direi che ho visto vivere la medicina come scienza, non solo come compitino<\/em>\u201d.<\/p><p>E adesso si guarda gi\u00e0 al futuro della pratica chirurgica integrata con tecnologie avanzate come la stampa 3D e soluzioni concrete come le stampanti Stratasys ad uso medicale. Prospetta il Dottor Chisci: \u201c<em>I nostri chirurghi hanno gi\u00e0 chiesto a Bio3DModel una consulenza per realizzare un rene. Questa tecnologia potr\u00e0 poi essere molto utile anche nella chirurgia aortica complessa e nella realizzazione di protesi endovascolari. Certo, anche la realt\u00e0 aumentata pu\u00f2 giocare un ruolo molto importante ma il modello 1:1 ha un\u2019immediatezza tattile diversa, che consente a noi medici di essere pi\u00f9 precisi ed efficaci<\/em>\u201d.<\/p><p><strong>In definitiva, quali sono i principali vantaggi dell&#8217;utilizzo di una replica anatomica in stampa 3D?<\/strong><\/p><ol><li><strong>Visualizzazione<\/strong>: la rappresentazione realistica e dettagliata dell&#8217;anatomia del paziente ha facilitato la comprensione delle complesse relazioni tra l&#8217;arteria splenica, il pancreas e le strutture circostanti.<\/li><li><strong>Pianificazione personalizzata<\/strong>: il team medico ha potuto adattare l&#8217;approccio chirurgico all&#8217;anatomia specifica del paziente.<\/li><li><strong>Collaborazione del Team<\/strong>: \u00e8 migliorata la comunicazione e l\u2019interazione in sala operatoria tra il chirurgo vascolare e quello generale.<\/li><li><strong>Consulenza<\/strong>: \u00e8 stata pi\u00f9 efficace la comunicazione con la paziente in merito a patologia, trattamento, valutazione dei rischi e benefici.<\/li><li><strong>Tecnica Chirurgica Ottimizzata<\/strong>: con una precisa comprensione dell&#8217;anatomia unica del paziente, il team medico ha potuto pianificare ed eseguire una tecnica
