Electrospider in the final at the National Innovation Award

The Electrospider bioprinter won a place in the final for the "National Award for Innovation" (PNI), after taking first place in the Start Cup Toscana 2022, the regional competition that rewarded innovative and technological ideas. The PNI is the most important business plan competition in Italy. The last act of the competition will be held in L'Aquila on 1 December.
Electrospider is an innovative 3D biofabrication technology patented by Bio3DPrinting, a company born from the collaboration between SolidWorld GROUP and the University of Pisa, capable of generating 3D cellular constructs having the complex topology of human tissues. The bioprinter represents an epochal evolution in the medical, pharmaceutical and cosmetic fields.
The goal of Electrospider is to use cells taken from the patient to bioprint perfectly functional organs. This allows to solve the problems related to the limited availability of organs for transplants.
